Thompson Community Dietitians
A team of Accredited Practising Dietitians in Logan, Ipswich and Redlands, in clinic, at home and by telehealth. Client-focused care, so our clients are supported while achieving the outcomes they want.
Treatment focused around you
Our care is built around the client, so you are supported while working towards the outcomes you want.
Thompson Community Dietitians was founded in 2026 by Andrew Thompson and has grown into a team of three dietitians and two administration officers. We work with NDIS participants, DVA veterans, Medicare, NIISQ, Support at Home and private clients, and we keep the whole care team in the loop so nobody is left guessing where things are up to.
Each of our dietitians brings a different clinical focus, so you are matched with the person best placed to help: eating disorder support with Georgia Bates, general health and chronic disease care with Shayan Khademi in Ipswich, and tube feeding, malnutrition and complex care with Andrew.
Meet the team

Andrew Thompson
Senior Dietitian and Founder, APDMaster of Nutrition and Dietetics, University of Canberra. Bachelor of Exercise and Nutrition Science, University of Queensland. Monash University Low FODMAP trained. Dietitians Australia member 190247.
Andrew has spent six years working across Australian dietetics, from community health and aged care to NDIS and DVA. His clinical strengths are enteral nutrition and tube feeding, malnutrition, gut health and complex chronic disease. Time spent working alongside enteral feeding product manufacturers gave him hands-on experience with feeding pumps and oral nutrition supplements, so he can troubleshoot real-world problems, not just write a plan on paper.
He is Monash University Low FODMAP accredited and has lived experience with IBD, so he understands what it means to manage a chronic gut condition day to day.
