How it works

Four steps, from your first call through to ongoing support.

Get in touch

Fill in the form above or call 07 5616 6549. Georgia or the team will phone for a free 15-minute chat about what’s going on and whether we’re the right fit.

We link in with your care team

With your consent we get in touch with your GP and any psychologist or psychiatrist involved, sort out referrals or an Eating Disorder Plan, and confirm your funding.

Your first session

60 minutes, by video, at the Logan clinic or at home. Georgia listens first, then works out with you what nutrition support should look like at this stage of treatment.

Ongoing support

Regular reviews of 45 to 60 minutes that adjust as things change, with updates back to your GP and treatment team so everyone is working from the same page.

What Georgia helps with

Georgia supports people with eating disorders, as well as restrictive eating, food anxiety and other eating concerns. If yours isn’t on the list, just ask.

Before you book

What if I’m not sure I’m unwell enough to need help?
You don’t need a diagnosis, a certain weight or a particular set of behaviours to get support. If food, eating or your body is taking up more of your day than you’d like, that’s reason enough to have a conversation. The free 15-minute call costs nothing and doesn’t commit you to anything.
Do I need a diagnosis or a referral to see Georgia?
No. You can book privately without either. If you’d like Medicare rebates, your GP can set up an Eating Disorder Plan (which needs an eating disorder diagnosis and gives you up to 20 dietitian sessions in 12 months) or a chronic condition management plan (up to 5 allied health sessions a year). We can help you work out which one fits and what to ask your GP for.
Will you put me on a diet or weigh me?
No diets. Georgia’s job is to help you get enough nutrition, loosen food rules, and make eating feel manageable, not to hand you restrictions. Whether and how weight is checked depends on your treatment plan and what your medical team needs. If weight is being monitored, it’s done with care, and you can ask not to see the number.
Do you work with my psychologist and GP?
Yes, and for eating disorders we think it’s important. With your consent Georgia shares relevant updates with your GP, psychologist or psychiatrist so that the nutrition side and the psychological side pull in the same direction. If you don’t yet have a psychologist, we can talk through options.
Can you see my child or teenager?
Yes. Georgia works with children and adolescents, including ARFID and selective eating, and with the parents doing the hard work at the table. Sessions for younger children usually involve parents closely. Home visits around Logan can be useful for mealtime support.
How much does it cost?
Eating disorder appointments: $190 for your first appointment (60 minutes) and $145 for reviews (45 to 60 minutes). Eating disorder care is complex, so Georgia books longer sessions than our standard appointments to give you thorough, person-centred support.

Medicare Eating Disorder Plan: $63.40 rebate per session for up to 20 dietitian sessions in 12 months, so your out-of-pocket is $126.60 for the first appointment and $81.60 for each review.
Medicare chronic condition plan: same rebate, up to 5 allied health visits a year shared across any allied health you see.
NDIS: Billed to your plan (self-managed or plan-managed).
Private health: Claim via Tyro on the spot, you pay only the gap.
DVA Gold/White Card and ADF: No out-of-pocket with a valid referral.

If cost is a barrier, please tell us on the call. We’d rather talk it through than have you not reach out.
Does eating disorder support work by telehealth?
For most people, yes. Sessions are conversation, planning and review, which translates well to video, and it means you can see Georgia from anywhere in Australia without travel. If in-person suits better, the Logan clinic and home visits are available by appointment.
How long does eating disorder support usually take?
It varies, and depends on what’s going on for you and what the rest of your treatment team is doing. Support usually runs over months rather than weeks, which is part of why a Medicare Eating Disorder Plan allows up to 20 dietitian sessions in 12 months. Georgia will talk through what a realistic plan looks like at your first appointment.
