Straightforward nutrition care that fits your life

Many veterans come to us after losing weight without trying, or because a health condition has started to slip while they manage on their own. Unintentional weight loss can be a sign of malnutrition, so we assess what is going on and put together a practical plan before it becomes a bigger problem.

If getting to appointments is hard, we come to your home or connect by video call. And the care is client-focused, so you are supported while working towards the outcomes you want: we start with what you enjoy eating and find realistic changes that stick, not a lecture about what you should be eating.

DVA dietitian questions

How do I see a dietitian through DVA?

Is there a cost to see a DVA dietitian?

No. Eligible DVA card holders with a valid GP referral pay nothing. We bill DVA directly, so there is nothing to pay upfront or claim back.

What is the difference between a Gold Card and White Card for dietitian services?

A Gold Card covers all clinically necessary health conditions. A White Card covers conditions accepted as related to your military service, so White Card sessions must relate to those conditions. Both need a valid GP referral.

Do I need a referral to see a DVA dietitian?

Yes. DVA-funded appointments need a GP referral that lists the conditions you need support with. If you do not have one yet, we can guide you on what to ask your GP for.

Do you provide home visits for DVA clients?

Yes, across Logan, Ipswich, Redlands and surrounding areas. You can also see us in clinic at Logan, Ipswich or Redlands, or by telehealth video call.
